Copiccat Series - Doraemon
Dear Copic Lovers,
I hope this email finds you warm and well despite the cold weather.
I'm excited to share my Copiccat Series featuring Doraemon, along with some tips I've picked up along the way.
Did you know that Doraemon is actually a cat-shaped robot? He was originally yellow and had ears, but after a traumatic incident where a rat bit them off, he underwent emergency surgery. The shock of losing his ears turned him pale, and his entire body changed to blue..
Here are a few tips for your own Copic creations:
* **Use Copic-Compatible Paper:** This is essential! When I initially drew on regular drawing paper and applied blue color, the ink bled outside the lines. Copic Custom Paper is perfect for inking and manga-style artwork. I also cut out the blurred Doraemon as a mask for later use with the Copic Airbrushing System.
* **Enhancing the Nose:** To brighten Doraemon’s nose, I applied red, leaving the center white. Then, I gently blended it with Colorless Blender to achieve a luminous effect.
* **Add Highlights to the Eyes:** Opaque White is perfect for adding highlights to the eyes. For the tiniest details, a toothpick works wonders!
I hope these tips are helpful. Happy Copiccating!
